STORYBOOK MIND:
GOALS
I think Mack David, Al Hoffman, and Jerry Livingston got it right when they wrote the lyrics, ‘A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes.’ These lyrics were used in a song from the Walt Disney film Cinderella. This statement is just as true today as it was back in 1949 when they wrote the song.
Iside each of us is a dream, a hope, an aspiration, a goal, a desire, yet many never take steps to get close enough to grab that goal.
Without a dream, we don’t become all we can be. I have consoled with many people of all ages who have strayed so far from their path that their dreams hopes and aspirations are simply a figment of their imagination. They had given up on their dream.
When you stop dreaming, you stop living
Dreaming is not just about the future, but also about the present. It’s not just about what you want to be, but also who you want to be. And it’s not just about achieving your goals–it’s how you want to achieve those goals.
When we stop dreaming, we stop living in full color and begin living in black and white instead. We lose sight of who we are and what our lives could be like if only we had more confidence in ourselves and our ability as human beings when facing challenges head-on with passion and determination instead of fear or worry (which rarely leads anywhere positive).
This program is written for all readers. However, some sections may not apply to you. In that case, skip those areas and learn from the remainder of the course.
Many have told me they had given up on their goals because they now have a family, lack of money or contacts, too old . Those are too often excuses. Others have given up because of their addictions or now have a record.
The Courses on Goals and the one on Mind Management gives you the opportunity to start building toward your goals and become the person and have the life you have always dreamed of.
You can build your dreams and goals using the assets you have developed over the years before the family. The only difference is, today, you re-AIM your goals to benefit you and your family.
If addictions challenge you, place your goals before the addiction. Visit our website to learn how to do these steps.
Dreaming is the first step to living a fulfilling life. It’s what keeps us going day after day and gives us something to look forward to. A dreamer is someone who knows what they want out of life and is willing to take risks to achieve their goals no matter how hard it may be at times.
